Following the fantastic efforts of all of Amelia's supporters we are delighted to confirm she had successful life changing spinal surgery in November last year. The total amount raised was an awesome £81,283+. We simply cannot thank everyone enough for your support in helping us pay for the surgery Amelia desperately needed.

Despite Amelia being in surgery for over 9 hours the Consultant was able to achieve a transformational correction, reducing both her thoracic and lumber curves from T65/L73 to T14/L8 degrees respectively. She has retained her flexibility and day by day is getting stronger and stronger.

Amelia is now on her recovery journey which includes physiotherapy and regular reviews and monitoring over the coming months.

Encouraged by our supporters our 2020 campaign goals include:

1) Petition Parliament to make VBT an option on the NHS

2) Continue to raise awareness of scoliosis and early detection

3) We have set a new target to raise funds for Amelia's post operative care

We hope Amelia's hundreds of supporters will continue to support her campaign and we very much hope to see her back on the football pitch soon!
