Dear friends,
Many of you will know Victor from being a colleague and friend. For those who don't know him, he is a diligent, kind and gentle man who has a warm smile for all who encounter him.
Sadly, he has hit a challenging time in his life which has had a devastating effect on his family.
Nine weeks ago he was admitted to hospital. The doctors are still unclear about his future. His illness has resulted in him being paralysed from the waist down and as yet they do not know if he will be able to walk again.
As a consequence of his immobility he has not been able to provide an income to support his family.
As well as his wife, Ronke and two young children age 2 & 3 worrying about Victor, they have also had the trauma of being evicted from their home having not met the rental. They are now living from house to house with the good will of friends and what little family they have in this country. This undoubtedly is also an added stress for Victor himself who's life has changed dramatically after the illness.
He is in good spirits, his faith is giving him strength.
He is the most unassuming man and kept his illness quiet for as long as he could.
I'd like to raise awareness that an appeal for any donation that we can raise would help Victor, his wife and family. Any backing of this appeal will be donated to help them in this most difficult of time and an opportunity to give a little back to someone who has touched many lives from his daily character, even if you haven't met him, I know it's a very personal appeal but he really needs practical help right now. We really can make a difference to their lives by showing we care.
