Story

Over the past few months I've been following the journeys of rescue shelters in Romania and have been inspired to raise money to support the hard work they do. When rescued, Romanian street dogs will likely have gone through hell and back and yet still have so much love to give. Puppies will have been beaten and abused and the horrors that they face are unimaginable. If it weren't for the amazing people who dedicate their lives to rescuing them, these dogs would have no hope of a normal life.

While volunteers are constantly working to improve conditions, more dogs, cats and puppies come in every day and more often than not they have suffered severe injuries that require urgent medical attention. This has caused them to build up massive vets bills which which are nearly impossible to pay off. They are currently £4000 in debt to the local veterinary surgery and have been told that until this is paid off, any new animals will be turned away. This means that puppies as young as 8 weeks old will sit in cold shelters with cuts, illnesses, broken bones, and without the urgent treatment needed, will likely not make it through to January.

This year we are expecting the temperature to drop to -20 Degrees C and with conditions worse than ever, we want to do everything we can to save lives. We are asking people to donate anything they can to help pay off the vets bills so that every puppy has a chance. So that dogs who have already suffered enough, have somewhere warm to spend Christmas. So that together, we can make a small difference to an amazing cause.
