I've raised £100 to help raise money for "South Yorkshire Refugee Law and Justice" - a local charity that helps asylum seekers gain access to justice.

Me and my dad have decided to raise money for the local charity "South Yorkshire Refugee Law and Justice" by doing a Coast to Coast bike ride! We will be cycling from the coast of the Irish Sea to the coast of the North Sea over 3 days, which is approximately 140 miles long. On September 8th 2017, we will set off from Whitehaven, and by Sunday night on 10th September, we will finish in Sunderland. We have never done anything like this before and decided to challenge ourselves as well as raise money for a good cause.
We have chosen this charity as it a local charity that has not received much attention, however it aims to help some of the most vulnerable people in society. The charity aims to help asylum seekers who live in our community to gain access to the legal system, or at least to have a better opportunity to present their case for gaining refugee status. Their clients are mainly destitute and have often given up all hope of anyone being able to help them. They cannot return to their homes but have no security in the UK.
We are hoping that by raising money for this charity we can raise awareness of the injustice asylum seekers may face, as well as providing support for a local charity.
This charity does not have a page where donations can be made online, hence why I have had to create a crowdfunding page. Once you have made a donation, I can add your name and your donation to the sponsor form (which is through a handwritten format, very old school I know!).
Any donation will be very much appreciated, and I am sure you will all be interested to see how me and my dad can manage to cycle 140 miles, so I will ensure to post updates throughout our journey!
Thanks!
