Story
So far, we as a community have raised almost £30,000...this is a fabulous start and sincerely thank everyone who has donated and shared! Lets' keep going! We have started the process of installing state of the art recording booths for Ryedale school music department, giving the children needed equipment to expand and enhance their talents.
On 31st March, Easter Sunday, Tom Walker, Mark Neal, Dave Wallinger and Chris Kirby will be running the Helmsley 10k in memory of our girl. Thank you so much to the 'boys' for showing their support to our fundraising mission, it means the world. All donations will go towards the Amelia Jackson Legacy fund.
Our gorgeous, dramatic and talented Amelia recently grew her wings. In her memory, we aim to fund a new sound room for Ryedale school, her secondary school, where she found her love and talent for music and singing. A sound room will help the students practice and record their music, to help with their personal and exam related development.
Amelia thrived when performing. She had such a big personality, and if she had the true chance, would have gone so far. We all miss her more than anything, but instead of showing sadness, we as a community need to come together and create something special in honour of her beautiful life. She was such a kind, honest and strong character that a simple goodbye will not do her justice. Our financial target is significantly high, but with support and donations of every size, I believe we can reach our goal.
Before Amelia passed onto the next life, she told me that she wanted to pursue teaching, so I know she would have loved this cause, and with that in mind, I hope you will help the future students of Ryedale school and their musical dreams however you can. Whether that be a financial donation, or a simple share on social media. Every act of support is appreciated, and for that, I am thankful.
