On behalf of the 'Whispers of Smoke' team I am running the New York marathon on Sunday 3rd November just a few weeks before we film.

I'm raising money for the charity 'Mind' and for this project. We believe that art and telling stories are powerful mediums that can really impact lives. We have been working hard to raise funds ourselves, and many of you have generously supported us already. 

We love Mind's statement that says "we're here to make sure that no one else has to face a mental health problem alone." It really resonates with us and the theme of 'Whispers of Smoke.'

Mind charity says that "we won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect." We absolutely love this and it's our hope that 'Whispers of Smoke' will contribute to this mission, through watching this film and all the conversations that follow afterwards. 

​We will be filming in Alresford, Hampshire on Saturday 23rd November for a 5 day shoot. We're delighted to be working with Perins Academy school in Alresford, Hampshire ( www.perins.net ) some of the children will be featured in the film as main and supporting roles. We're so excited to finally get here! Filmmaking is also a marathon!!
