Story
Hello and WELCOME to our Just Giving Page! On 30th June 2019 we will be having our annual "It's a Knockout" event to raise Funds for Amelie's Fund. This event is absolutely invaluable to us as a Family as your amazing donations help us provide Amelie with equipment, adaptations and much more, above and beyond a child her age who doesn't have any additional needs.

For the first time ever last year Amelie had her own team and manage to take part in some events with the help of her friends! She absolutely loved every minute of it!
This year it is unlikely that she will be able to take part as she is awaiting her spinal surgery - she may even be in hospital during the event but as of yet we don't have a confirmed date but we will face time her and Jon if she is in!
*UPDATE* Sadly Amelie's operation on Monday was cancelled... Amelie has been quite upset about it but now she is able to come to IAKO and is going to try and take part along with her team "TEAM AMS" who are taking part at 3pm - come along and support if you can! x
We raised an amazing £7,000 last year which was just the amount we needed to add to the most generous donation of £13,000 from LionHeart to pay for Amelie's new Electric wheelchair.

This will be the 9th year of our It's a Knockout Fun - 2010 was the start of our Fundraising for Amelie when she first needed an electric wheelchair - we cannot thank you for the amazing continued support! As much as we try and save we cannot possibly find these huge amounts of money to access everything she needs! Over the years thanks to our Constitution we have helped other children who have similar needs to Amelie...... it has been amazing to be able to give something back to help others too.
In two and half years time we need to apply for another Wheelchair Accessible car to take Amelie's wheelchair....... this came at a pricey cost of £15,000 so without your support we cannot save for this!

The fund also helps us as a family with travelling costs and to be able to live when Amelie has lengthy stays in hospital and our family is apart for long periods of time. We are so lucky that Amelie is so resilient and doesn't complain when she's in - it's just hard for us all being apart.
Thank you for checking in.......... we are grateful for every penny we receive and every one of those pennies goes straight into the Fund. We also have a donate button on the home page of her website Amelie's website and you can find up to date info about Amelie on her facebook page Amelie's Facebook Page

4 years agoThank you so much for your donations to date - we appreciate every penny! Amelie's spinal surgery has been postponed to later in the year but unfortunately she is having a smaller operation on Monday 24th June so she may be still a bit sore to be able to attend the whole event but I'm sure she will be there at some point! Let's hope the weather is kind to us and we can welcome lots of supporters on the day! xx

Fundraising for your own child is so hard - pride ALWAYS gets in the way...... We cannot meet the expensive bills of equipment/transport/adaptations she needs so we are TRULY grateful for every single ounce of support to give Amelie a chance of living an easier life xxxx
