Story

Last weekend during Storm Ciara, one of our posts completely buckled and has sadly broken beyond repair. We will need to get it replaced ASAP, as we still have quite a few home fixtures to fulfil in our Senior Men's and Women's leagues. The timing is not good for our juniors either, as we are due to host our first ever junior fixture (U15 boys) at the club this coming Sunday.

Lots of work has gone into making this game happen, and the U15 lads are excited to be able to represent their club in an Amesbury shirt for the first time, as they hopefully welcome Basingstoke's U15 squad to Centenary Park.

We are hoping to be able to draw on our reserves to fund replacing the posts initially, but as this is a completely unforeseen expense, we are asking whether our local community can help us with recouping some of the costs.

We have worked hard over the past few years to build an inclusive community club, aiming to eventually cater for all. We are so proud to be up and running with our junior programme, and are looking to expand to girls rugby as well as other age groups.

Any support would be hugely appreciated, and very little helps... please share!

(In case of any excess funds raised, they would all be used for much needed training equipment for the use of the club).

Thank you, from all at Amesbury Rugby Club
