We are excited to inform you that students from Samuel King’s School and Alston Primary School will be taking part in a sponsored walk on Tuesday 15th July.

This event aims to raise funds for two important causes:

· The ongoing development of outdoor spaces at the Alston site, to benefit all students.

· The Great North Air Ambulance – a vital rural emergency service chosen by our Student Council.

Walk Details: Students will walk along the railway line to Slaggyford Train Station, a distance of 4.5 miles.

· Park Fell, Cross Fell and Middle Fell students will have a picnic at Slaggyford before enjoying a train ride back to school, generously provided free of charge by South Tynedale Railway – our sincere thanks for their continued support.

· Flinty Fell and Samuel King’s students will stop for a picnic at Slaggyford play park and then walk the return leg, completing an impressive 9-mile round trip.

There is no minimum sponsorship requirement, but any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
