Manorlands in Oxenhope provide palliative care for people with life limiting illnesses. They also help to support families and friends of loved ones who are being treated in Manorlands. I would like to raise money for Manorlands because i cant even describe how well they looked after my Grandma when she was there. They made sure that she was comfortable at all times and gave her the best care i believe was possible. My Grandma had lung cancer so she often struggled breathing which caused her to feel agitated. Her positioning in bed was also very important as it made sure that she could breathe as well as was possible. The nurses and doctors checked on her so many times everyday and were so caring towards her, when they left the room they always left her with a smile on her face. They changed her position several times a day when she was feeling agitated and uncomfortable and they gave her oxygen and medication to help with her breathing so that she didnt struggle as much. I only visited my Grandma in Manorlands a few times because i was anxious about seeing her how she was with her having the cancer, however the nurses and doctors always made me feel so welcome and offered support several times when i was upset or even just walking through the corridor. I dont think we could have found anywhere better than Manorlands for my Grandma to pass away peacefully in. Her room was facing a pond with a waterfall and she never seemed to want the curtains closing as the view was just so beautiful which also uplifted her spirits waking up to that everyday. This is my way of thanking them for all of their help and continued support. I will carry on visiting them due to how comfortable i felt in going there and to say it was so hard for me to go in the first place theyve definitely achieved something there. Please donate even if its just 50p anything will make a change and i want them to carry on helping other people and their families and friends at such hard times the wat they helped and are comtinuing to help me and my family.
