Amir Arsalan’s Urgent Need for a New BiPAP Machine and Wheelchair

Amir Arsalan, a 28-year-old Duchenne warrior from Iran, is in urgent need of support. For the past five years, he has relied on a second-hand American BiPAP machine, purchased for 16 million tomans, to help him breathe as Duchenne muscular dystrophy weakens his respiratory muscles. Unfortunately, over the past three to four months, the machine has started malfunctioning, frequently turning on and off. Despite multiple repairs, technicians have now declared it unfixable. Amir urgently needs a new BiPAP machine to maintain his respiratory function.

Additionally, Amir’s current wheelchair is no longer suitable. The wheelchair, made of aluminum and purchased 14-15 years ago, no longer fits him as he has grown. It’s crucial to get a new wheelchair that fits him properly to support his longevity and mobility.

We are seeking funds to purchase both a new BiPAP machine, which costs £550, and a suitable wheelchair, which costs £300. All funds raised will be used to purchase these items through 'Duchenne Iran', a registered charity in Iran (Registration Number: 48705), which is run by my sister.

Your donation, no matter the size, will make a tremendous difference in Amir’s life, providing him with the critical equipment he needs to breathe comfortably and enhance his mobility.

Please consider supporting our campaign and giving Amir Arsalan the life-saving support he deserves. Together, we can make a lasting impact on his journey.
