My Name is Amol Neupane, a year 5 student from Bexley, UK. As we all know, the Corona virus has completely changed the way we live now and taught us a big lesson in our life. We are together in this and can help each other to stay safe and keep moving for our better future. I enjoy going for long bike ride and help my family on charity work. On first Lockdown, I Cycled 400 Km in 3 weeks and raised £3300 for Oxford University Corona Vaccine research Project which is now saving many lives across the world. I even got an appreciation letter from Her Majesty The Queen’s Office for this effort. I'm over the moon and would like to thank everyone for your support.

For my 10th Birthday, I am planning to complete another 1000 Km cycling challenge to raise money for School children in rural Nepal who are less fortunate to have access to education and technology like I do. The money raised will go to Friends of NIC-Nepal charity Project: Interactive Learning Box for Schools in remote areas of Nepal. They will build low-cost solar powered interactive computers in the National innovation Centre Nepal loaded with necessary school curriculum and other extra learning materials about science and technology and sent to those schools who need it the most. I strongly believe this will help to learn the life skill needed for those thousands of young children of my age and become a good citizen in future.

I feel lucky in the sense that I have all the opportunities available to learn and grow through school and family support even in this pandemic but there are thousands of children of my age who do not have any options and end up living the worst life. I think this is not fair at all. So for my 10 birthday gift, could I Please ask you all to donate as much as you can for this good cause and also try helping those needy children around you to grow with the basic life skills they deserve.
