I met Kamran bhai 4yrs ago during a trip2Pakistan&soon realised how much of a selfless man he was after he spoke of working 18-19 hours a day2support his elderly mother, wife and the light of his life; his 10 year old daughter whom has cerebral palsy.

Humaira is the sole carer4their daughter & meets all her physical needs whilst Kamran works long hours just2make ends meet. Not only does Humaira care for her daughter but also is the carer for Kamran's elderly mother.

A few weeks ago Humaira noticed a lump in her right breast. A biopsy confirmed that Humaira is in the early stages of breast cancer. Following a planning meeting today they have been informed that Humaira requires2operations, followed by an unstated amount of chemotherapy sessions to eradicate any cells which may have been left from the surgery. The treatment will cost in the region of 5-6 lakh rupees(£2500-£3000). An amount the family could only dream of.
I have set up this page2help support any chance of Humaira making a full recovery so she is able2stay alive2continue2care4her daughter, whose life without her mother would be unthinkable. Not only does Pakistan not have a welfare state, it also has no provisions for children with disabilities or support to families with children whom have disabilities. By being her daughter's carer, it allows Kamran 2work2provide 4the family even if it is for that evening. Without Humaira's presence&support, the impact on Kamran&his daughter would be utterly devastating both financially&physically.

As Muslims we are firm believers that life and death is indeed in Allah's hands however if there was anyway I could help a mother2possibly stay alive by receiving the treatment she needs then I was sure going2try.
