Story

I am running the London Marathon in April of this year with 2 goals in mind - (1) to finish the race and (2) to raise awareness and money on behalf of the Lynch Syndrome UK Charity. In 2015 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in my early 40s and was unaware of a family history on my father's side. In 2016 I was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome which resulted in further operations in 2017. As a result of my condition, I now have to have life long screening to monitor this genetic condition. The Lynch Syndrome UK Charity has been a pillar of support over the last few years providing advice, research and when needed a much needed shoulder to cry on. Further information on the charity can be found at www.lynch-syndrome-uk.org
