Story

I am excited to announce that I have been selected to represent England at the 2017 ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships in Pyongyang, the motherland of Taekwon-Do. This is a huge honour.

As many people know, I started Taekwon-Do in 2003 and received my black belt in 2007. I have competed nationally for the last 12 years coming away with gold, silver and bronze medals from the UK, English, Welsh and London Championships; always with the goal to one day represent England and compete internationally.

Having torn my hamstring in 2008 and then having knee surgery in 2013, I wasn't sure I would ever be able to compete again. Thankfully after months of rehabilitation, I am now fighting fit and was able to compete for the first time in over a year at the Welsh Championships in May, coming away with a gold in sparring and a silver in patterns.

I am so grateful to be given the opportunity now to represent England at the 20th Taekwon-Do World Championships in Pyongyang at the Taekwon-Do Palace.

The £2000 is towards the total cost, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support!!

Amy ☺
