Story
Hi everyone,
I will be travelling to Phang Nga, Thailand, for 6 weeks to do some charity work for the local community. In 2004 Phang Nga was unfortunately devistated by the tsunami , reported as one of the worst natural disasters in recorded history. It destroyed many peoples lives, homes and schools. The work i will be carrying out involves teaching English to local Thai children, helping with the construction work of schools and being involved in teaching and promoting the importance of healthcare and hygiene within members of the community.
I am really grateful for being given the chance to do this as due to currently being at uni and studying education studies, I have realised the importance of education and how much It is taken for granted and due to Thailand not having as many privileges as we do here in the UK, I am keen to make as much as a difference as I can!
Any donations would be massively appreciated!
Thank you, Amy X
