Missing Piece is a local charity, who aim to help families survive the pain of losing a child suddenly, or help support children facing bereavement.

The founders of this charity unfortunately had their child taken from them suddenly in 2017 and the immediate support was just leaflets, there was no-one available to answer questions or just be there to support, it took months for much needed councelling and it is only now that parts of their jigsaw puzzle are beng put back together with obviously a major piece missing.

This local charity needs donations to be able to support and help families so I am doing my bit because no parent should lose and say good bye to a child that is just not how it should go and if that cruelly happens then support is what is needed to help you get up in a morning. Running is really the only thing I am not half bad at, although I am a snail. A few years ago I was told that I would not be able to run again, however, I am extremely stubborn and if I am told I cannot do something then I need to prove people wrong. I have taken it slow and now I have decided to sign up for multiple runs. I am running the Derby 1/2 marathon Sunday 3rd June. Hull full marathon Sunday 23rd September. Robin hood 1/2 marathon Sunday 30th September. With a few more thrown in along the way and obviously you will all be told.
