Scotland U16 Women's Youth National Team will be competing at the FIBA European Championships Division C between 14th and 21st of July 2019. Before this, the squad has also been invited to participate in the Copenhagen Invitational Tournament in June.

The Youth National Team is self-funded in Scotland and relies on sponsorship, parental contributions and fundraising in order to allow our young players to compete at the highest possible level. These events are fantastic opportunities for Scotland's young players to participate in international competitions and gain some vital experience.

basketballscotland's performance programmes are dedicated to teaching squads key life skills which are applicable both on and off the court - such as teamwork, confidence and communication - to enable the young players to grow as basketballers and as individuals.

After the success of Scotland at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, there is a growing buzz around Scottish basketball. Our aim is to build on that success and continue to help players to compete and represent their country on the global stage.
