Story
My wife Becky and I recently had twin boys, Frankie and Freddie. Becky’s pregnancy had gone without any problems and she carried our boys full term to 38wks. Something went terribly wrong at the hospital and Freddie was born sleeping. We did not have access to a cold cot or cuddle cot so could not share as much time as we had hope for with our precious boy, the time we did have with him was made even more horrendous as he deteriorated rapidily. If we had access to a cold or cuddle cot we could have spent the time we needed with him as a family and said our goodbyes to him when ready instead that was not a facility made available to us as the hospital has only one of these cots and sadly at the time of Freddie’s death it was already being used. Our hope is to buy another one of these and donate it to the Oscar Wish Foundation Willow room at the hospital to give more families the opportunity to have that precious time with their sleeping angels before they leave the hospital. We had already asked all that attended Freddie’s funeral to make a small donation instead of buying flowers to put towards this cause in Freddie’s memory and have raised £420 so far! Thank you for taking the time to read this and donate as little or as much as you can and please share our story.
