I've raised £1700 to help with costs of the mental health placement in Sri Lanka

After suffering with mental health issues myself for several years, I understand how important it is to have access to a support network to get help. Luckily I live in a country where help is readily available, however others are less fortunate. I would like to give something back and be a support system to others which is why I am volunteering on the SLV.global graduate mental health placement in Sri Lanka. The placement runs for 12 weeks where I will be living in a homestay with several other volunteers. The placement involves working in a clinical setting running therapeutic activities in hospital wards with service users in different stages of their recovery alongside special needs work and teaching English for development.
