Story

We have an update..

There has been a discussion between Clint and the lads and it seems that epidural stimulation combined with stem cell therapy is going to be the better option for Clint rather than stem cell therapy alone.

Epidural stimulation is the application of a continuous electrical current to the lower part of the spinal cord. The stimulation is carried out via a little chip which is implanted over the dura (the protective coating) of the spinal cord.

Epidural Stimulation device is undoubtedly one of the best treatments available for Spinal Cord Injury patients today. An integrative medium to recovery combined with leading-edge technology, this truly offers patients the chance of making a recovery that was previously deemed to be impossible.

A C3 complete spinal cord injury (SCI) which Clint has can affect movement and sensation from the neck down. A complete spinal cord injury refers to damage that cuts all the way across the spinal cord, leaving no spared neural pathways. As a result, no motor control or sensation will exist below the level of injury.

Fortunately, by participating in rehabilitative therapies and effectively managing secondary complications, alongside epidural stimulation, there’s been cases where people can learn to become as functional as possible and maybe even recover movement.

The costs vary massively so we need to up our game.

Thank you!

(original)

A friend of 30+ years suffered an atrocious accident just over a year ago where he ended up paralysed from the neck down, completly taking away his independence, livelihood and more.

Due to covid, treatment and rehabilitaion has been severley limited. And in a year there has been little to no improvement. This has had a huge impact on his mental health. He is currently laid up in hospital after having surgery on an open pressure sore on his back. This has been succesful!!

Now there is an opportunity for him to try stem cell treatment. With this treatment there could be a chance he will get some kind of a life back but it needs to be carried out abroad. Please help us help him. This page was set up after I was asked by family and having the go ahead from Clint.

Thank you for reading.
