Story

As you guys might know, I came to Greece in September to support refugees and to teach them English with a small greek, non-profit NGO called Second Tree. Since being here, I am convinced this NGO does really worthwhile work and provides invaluable and much needed support to refugees. By providing physco-social support and facilitating integration and English lessons, our work ensures that refugees are treated with dignity and offers hope and opportunity in a place where prospects and hope for the future is otherwise bleak.

I am a volunteer here and thanks to donations I have been able to teach English to hundreds of adults and children. I've been able to hear their stories and understand their situations. I've been able to lend a hand and support them through an exceptionally difficult time. If I could afford to, I would volunteer to help them for as long as needed. But of course, this is not plausible for me to do long term so I must do everything I can to help now while I can.

Funds are very low and I would really like to stay here during the Christmas period and be there for the refugees. If I raised £200, I would be able to do this. So if you want to help me help them this Christmas, anything at all that you can afford to donate would really help us out.

Massive, massive thank you in advance!! Also, please do send me your mailing address if you donate, I would love to send you a thank you Christmas card!
