Story

We are joining University of Manchester in their Sleepout on March 22nd 2019. We are raising money for three homelessness charities in Manchester: MASH, Mustard Tree and Big Student Sleepout.

A night where we will sleep on the streets, in a vague way we might understand just a tiny part of many problems homeless people face on a daily basis.

The number of homeless continues to rise each year. The fastest rise is in Manchester with many statistics being widely under the 'real' figures as it is so hard to keep a track of the number of homeless people.

The government has pledged to end homelessness by 2027 and Andy Burnham, the mayor of Greater Manchester, has pledged to end it by 2020 but their actions to help are not going quickly enough or far enough.

You could never even imagine being on the streets; not only having no roof over your head at temperatures of -1 celsius, no privacy, no security but also no visibility in society.

Help us, help these people who need it most.

Thank you,
