I am fortunate enough to have been chosen as one of three people from my school to take part on an expedition through India and the Himalayas. On this expedition we will visit and trek to poverty stricken villages who are isolated from the cities and modern life, as well as other places such as an orphanage and the city of Delhi. I hope on this expedition I will gain an insight into the world and make a big difference.

This trip, for me is a once in a lifetime experience. Each of the students has been challenged to raise £750 each to pay for the trip. We are all completing many fundraising activities to cover this cost, such as bake sales, a race night and organising activities in school like non-uniform days and raffles.

One of the ways in which I plan to fundraise is by obtaining sponsorship to complete the 10,000 steps a day challenge, where I will complete 10,000 steps every day from the 1st July 2017 until the last day before we fly out to India, the 13th of October 2017. This is a total of over 1 million steps!

This is where I am asking for your help, even the smallest donations would be appreciated massively. I know this trip will be mentally,emotionally and physically demanding but anyone that knows me will know that I thrive off of adventure and and am passionate about exploring, and I am willing to put in as much effort as I possibly can to prepare and fundraise for the expedition, as well as on the trip itself!
