It's not easy getting old. It's not easy being a carer. And it's hard when someone you know and love is diagnosed with dementia. So many people I know have been affected by dementia. Some look after a spouse or a parent and some struggle to look after themselves. Over the last year I have had the privilege of being able to volunteer at Penhurst Gardens memory cafe with Dementia Oxfordshire. We've laughed, we've sang, we've had fun but most of all support and advice is offered and given to everybody there.
