I've raised £600 to the Swarthmore Hardship Fund. 92 mile challenge on Stand Up Paddleboards along the Llangollen Canal.

A bit about Swarthmore
Swarthmore is a centre for lifelong learning. Who offers a wide range of courses and workshops, runs community projects, and has regular exhibitions. The main aim is to encourage people who want to learn but might not feel comfortable in more formal educational institutions.
A bit about myself
I am a Special Educational Needs and Disability Tutor at Swarthmore and also a Paddleboard Instructor. So I thought why not combine my two passions. On Monday 29th July we shall be taking on the Lancaster Canal, by paddleboard. 82miles over 4days, while wild camping each night. Starting at Carnforth to Preston and then back. These means we shall paddle 20+ miles per day. My average paddling speed is 2miles an hour. So we shall be paddling between 10 and 15 hours a day. The challenge has been set. It will all be worth it because it is for a good cause.
How your money will help
Swarthmore now has a Hardship Fund available to ensure everyone has access to our courses. A £5 donation will pay for a term of membership for one of our students, support them with bus fares or a lunch in our cafe. A £10 donation could pay for a student to complete their Functional Skills qualification, or pay towards a course/workshop. It may also help with a crisis payment for lunch and bus fares to help them continue to attend the centre. A £25 donation could help support someone to fund a course or workshop with us, or support them to continue to attend.
Thank you for any help and support that you are able to give.
