Hi guys and girls, I own my own hair and beauty salon in Essex,
The opportunity came up completely by chance and it seemed like the natural next step in my career so i went for it, with help from family and friends its up and running and i'm nearly at the end of my first year as a business owner. which is a massive achievement for me.
I have 3 employees, 2 stylists and a apprentice + myself
I now have run out of funds to push the salon where it deserves to be, (which is the best salon ever created)
I'm in need of finance now, and unfortunately the computer said no at the bank, (which nearly through me in a state of panic and stress)
We support 3 charities, cancer research, St Helena hospice and various aids charities
My salon was named after the song bohemian rhapsody, written and sang by the late great Freddie Mercury,
as a massive fan too, i thought that was an appropriate name.
though 'another one bites a hair salon' was a close second lol
The money i'm hoping to raise will go straight into the salon, continuing to make it an awesome place to work, supporting my staff and create more employment opportunities. and just basically making it the best in town.
Not only that i can do more for my charity work, host fund raising days, fun runs, dog walks (my dog is my salon mascot and comes to work with me every day) which means time out of the salon to do and organise.
I have building work that needs to get going on my beauty room so i can finally have a beauty therapist making everyone look beautiful.
