Story
In the early hours of Saturday 22 February 2020, Amy Unwin, the wife of our close friend and colleague Sgt Andy Unwin and mother to three beautiful children Lila – Rose (7), Maisie (5) and Caleb (2) who will always hold her memory close, sadly passed away. Originally from Halifax, Amy met Andy in 2010 they instantly feel in love and she married Andy in 2015. A devoted passionate mother and loving wife. Andy loved Amy, when they met she was the girl who gave him a direction. Together they made good. Her untimely death has left a huge hole in Andy and her friends families lives. The purpose of this just giving page is to fund raise some money to take the financial pressure off Andy as he focuses on making sure his wife gets the send off she deserves and provide him with a safety net as he adjusts to raising his children on his own as a single father.
Andy is a truly inspirational man who has had such a positive impact on so many people including Amy over the years. Never one to ask for any help, he is always the first to reach out and support close friends and colleagues. More recently, he established the Medicine Ball Challenge which seeks to eliminate the stigma which surrounds talking about mental health. Sadly, he is now that person who needs that support as he comes to terms with the death of Amy and we want to make our own small contribution. All funds raised through this page will go straight to Andy.

Thank you for supporting Andy during incredibly difficult time.
