I am short sighted with astigmatism so have to wear either glasses or contacts. I really REALLY hate both, but without them, life is a bit blurry and I'm starting to see double. I'm DESPERATE to get laser eye surgery but it's expensive and as a single working Mum, it's not something I can easily afford....this is where the really selfish bit comes in;
It's my birthday on 18th May, so what I'm hoping is that I can persuade my friends and family to donate the cost of a birthday card (even if it's one of those 50p ones from Wilkos, or you can push the boat out and splurge with a £3.29 moonpig card plus postage! ) to my just giving page. If I can pay more up front for laser, then I can knock down the monthly payments to make it more affordable. That's the aim anyway.
So please, no cards or prezzies this year (chocolate and wine is a definite no no - I'm on a diet!), just the price of a card to this just giving account.
