Story
This image is of a 15 year old girl, Amy came home on the 14th October and felt very poorly, luckily for Amy her Mothers quick actions were to look for symptoms and try to help her. Amy had a rash o that didn’t disappear when carrying out the glass test!
Gayle rang 999 and the emergency services started to save Amys life straight away. It was suspected meningitis. Amy was rushed to southend Hospital, but was later transferred to Paddington Hospital in London. Amy was placed in an induced coma and parents feared the worst! Amy is still critical and will be staying at Paddington hospital for the foreseeable future.
Amy was diagnosed with meningitis & septicaemia. She has had various operations to save her leg, as it went black. She is still critical and will not be returning to home any time soon due to having intensive rehabilitation.
Many people know Amy, she is always the girl who would say ‘hello and give you a smile', she is always with her family and adores her little sister Lilly. Lilly is really missing Amy and if we can raise some money to help her rehab, then she can be back home sooner and be with Lilly and her family! Then they can make new memories together.
Any monies raised for Amy will go towards her rehabilitation and hopefully some tutoring, so Amy can still keep up with her school work! As parents ourselves, we can only hope that our own children will never experience what Amy has gone through!
Our community has already shown compassion and have arranged a charity night at the Tandoori Palour, in Thundersley. For the people who can not attend the charity night but would like to donate this is the OFFICIAL page.
Thank you for all you support we will update everyone on Amy's progress!
Attached is a beautiful photo of Amy before her illness (Just beautiful)
