I've raised £350 to give the residents & carers of Kings Manor a special fun day when lockdown ends by running a marathon in 10 days

During this outbreak of Covid-19 we have all had to adapt to not spending time with our loved ones. My daughter Amy has particuarly been missing her Nanny and her Grandma. We live close to a residential nursing home, King’s Manor and Amy has been wondering how the residents are coping with not seeing their families during this time. She thought they must be missing their loved ones very much and wanted to do something to cheer them up and also to say thank you to the people looking after them. She decided she would like to run a marathin to raise money for them to have a fun day when this is all over, but running a marathon is no easy task when you can only leave the house once a day for an hour or so to exercise! So she has decided to run a marathon in 10 days, 2.6 miles a day which will be a challenge but hopefully acheiveable under the current restrictions. We are incredibly proud of Amy, please help her meet her target of £250 to give the residents of King’s Manor and their brilliant carers a fun day to look forward to. 😍🌈
