Story

Geovanny lives in Colombia with his family, after losing his sight he fell into depression and gave up on life. After love and support from his friends and family he has decided he is ready to face the world and is seeking support to be able to attend a school for the blind. The closest school there is to his home is in the next town which is an hour away and can only get there by bus. He requires someone to travel with him and wait for him whilst he attends the various activities the school provides. He is currently, with the help of all of his family able to attend once a week but ideally he should attend three times a week in order to fully benefit from the programme. The programme includes learning to be independent (getting around, doing everyday activities),using Braille, one to one with a psychologist, coping mechanisms. The centre is called CORPOVISION and is a non-profitable organisation focused on all round support for people with a range of visual difficulties.
