Angel is the only survivor from a Spanish farm of horrors, where he was found, almost lifeless, amongst the caged corpses of several companions including pups; his owner had 'simply' forgotten to feed them and caused them slow, torturous deaths.
Angel could barely stand when he was found, riddled with ticks and fleas; his body sapped of life, but somehow, this little one's spirit shone through and he managed to wag his tail to greet the volunteers who had driven over an hour to come to his aid; his own 'angels'.
This beautiful boy faces a long, hard road to recovery but in the safety of the sanctuary (La Huella Roja Almeria), we are praying he can pull through and fight back to health; a shining example that neglect and abandonment doesn't always mean a bleak end. This boy deserves so much love and care to realise that not all humans will hurt him and they will fight for him.

Angel is currently in the sanctuary along with many other dogs and cats who have been abandoned, unwanted or hurt by those that are supposed to love and protect them. Everyday we fight to rehome these animals and get them to their forever homes; they all deserve their second chance and no matter what they have faced; still have so much love to give and hold out hope that someone will never leave them. In the mean time, we are hoping like minded animal lovers will be so kind as to help us in our fight and contributions towards the sanctuary's costs so they can save countless more Angel's and fight for those that didn't make it (they receive no funding, only donations).

About the Fundraiser: I have adopted a beautiful dog from the sanctuary (and another on the way) who are my whole world; loving, grateful and full of a new lease of life. I continue to volunteer for the sanctuary alongside their fabulous UK based co-ordinator.
