I've raised £200 to give Liverpool Mummies with Cancer support group a stress free, happy coffee afternoon.

Hi I‘m Stasia and I have sighed up for the Cancer Research Race for Life 5K in June this year. 😬 Ive never done anything like this, but I think this is the perfect year to give it a go, and here is why...
In July last year my daughter Anastasia was diagnosed with grade 3 triple negative inflammatory breast cancer, aged 33. Anastasia was a new mum, just settling into motherhood but quickly had to start 6 months of intensive chemotherapy, James being only 8 months old at the time. She then went on to have a mastectomy, full lymph node clearance and 3 weeks of radiotheraphy. Anastasia still has a few more operations to go, but thankfully on the 1st March we were given the amazing news that there was NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE!!!! As a family we had won the lottery when the consultant told us this!
Whilst Anastasia was having her chemotheraphy She felt quite isolated and a little lonely at times as a young mum going through breast cancer and all the struggles treatment can bring. It was in November 2018 she started Liverpool Mummies with Cancer in the hope to meet other mums in a similar situation. In the short months the group has been active it has seen 136 members join. The number of memebers in this group just shows there are a lot of women feeling exactly how Anastasia did and that there is definalty a need for this type of support.
On May 9th the Liverpool mummies got together for their first coffee/tea/prosecco & cake afternoon and it was a great success. Every woman left feeling like it was the start of something great. The first afternoon was paid for with money kindly raised by the Hare & Hounds pub in West Derby, and so I have decided to do the 5K and raise money for these special women! What a great reason to get me off the couch and help them have another great afternoon on us..let me do the hard work 🏃♀️😂
I will be truely grateful for any donation no matter how small 😀 wish me good luck...Thankyou for reading. Stasia x
