We're raising £5,000 to support Thrive Youth Work in Huntingdon (Cambs)

This winter, Tim Anderson and Dave Cobby have been lacing up their running shoes and training for the 2025 Cambridge Half Marathon on March 9th! It’s Tim’s first ever half marathon which, at the start felt like an impossible challenge - but here we are and it’s happening!

We’re running for Thrive Youth Work (www.thriveyouthwork.com) and we’d love you to support us. Thrive aims to see the lives of young people transformed by meeting them where they are. Thrive does this by partnering with churches, schools, and communities to offer programmes that support the emotional, social, and spiritual growth of young people in Huntingdon.

Thrive delivers programmes in St Peters and Hinchingbrooke Secondary Schools, including 1:1 mentoring, and tailored support groups. These are programmes designed to provide a listening ear, a safe space, and pastoral support across a range of issues.

Thrive delivers programmes in the community across Huntingdon and Godmanchester, including weekly youth cafes and provides an exciting range of activities during the holidays.

Last year, Thrive engaged over 300 young people and delivered over 450 mentoring sessions,150 drop-in club sessions, 70 youth café sessions, and 12 events and trips. Over 85% of the young people confirmed they had benefited significantly.

Tim and Dave are connected with Thrive through our church and family who work and volunteer for the charity, and we want to raise £5k to support this great work. Please join us as we challenge ourselves to run faster and further than ever before to help support Thrive, the young people and for lives transformed!
