Story
We are trying to keep our heads above water with the gym closure due to COVID-19 we have no income to pay our rent and overheads which will still continue to come out of our bank and dwindle away what little funds we already had. We are a great asset to the town and surrounding areas teaching discipline and life skills along with the sporting side which combats obesity and gives fitness to the children and gives them a place to be other than wandering the streets. We are a family feel club where everyone is welcome. Parents are welcome to wait with children when they first start to give kids the confidence to join in, the kettle is always warm. We run an anti bullying campaign creating a safe place for kids to be and gain social confidence, be part of a team who sticks together and looks out for one another. We are also a part of an anti-knife campaign knives down @ look up at oppertunity where we offer a surrender point for knives and hand them to police.
We try to help out the town whichever way we can during the virus outbreak before lock down we were offering shopping collections for the vulnerable and elderly and we were offering dog walks for the elderly and vulnerable too. We are very charity oriented and believe charitys should help charitys we support the clic sargent charity aswell as try to fund our own.
Without your help we will struggle to re-open and after 11 years of putting everything into this club and building the bond I have with the kids and people of Wigton it's the last thing I want to happen.
