I've raised £100 to Raise funds for Finding Furever Homes and AniAid's #DogBus project

On 3rd December myself, my wonderful hubby Ben, and our friends Louise Brown and Chris Thorne will be Trycling and Running 5K around Dorney Lake as part of the Superhero Series Winter Wonderwheels event and hopefully raising a little bit of cash for 2 wonderful doggy charities that are close to my heart:-
FFH is a small UK registered charity, working hard to help dogs find FUREVER Homes. They have dogs in kennels as well as in foster with families. They also support smaller dog rescues located throughout the UK by marketing, raising awareness, fundraising, home checking and offering help and support. They hold regular fundraisers throughout the UK and online via social media to raise funds for kennelling, vets fees, transport and to provide post adoption support from a qualified and experienced trainer and behaviourist. Furever is what matters most. The priority is always the dogs and they do their best to find the best match for them, sometimes it takes a little longer with certain dogs than others, but FFH never gives up on a dog, in any way.
As well as looking for fantastic homes, FFH are always on the look out for volunteers to help fundraise, homecheck, transport, dog walk and even just provide admin support or help with social media campaigns
Sadly for many pets who find them selves in stray kennels, their future is unknown. Currently in the UK each animal found as a stray has seven days to be claimed by the owner, if no owner comes forward or is not found, the animal can face death. All is not lost! The UK pound pullers work tirelessly to find rescue placements for many of these animals , the rescue or charity has to then fundraise to cover the high cost of private pet transport. The pets have a rescue or forever home WAITING but CAN NOT get to their rescue or new family. In a lot of cases the animal losses their life!
That's where the DogBus will come in - AniAid plan to buy a purpose fitted transport bus, the #dogbus , that can pick these pets up from their stray kennels, rescue's and charities then transport them in comform to their rescue placement or forever home.
The #DogBus will be driven by trained volunteers to and from rescues to forever homes or other rescues in the U.K. The rescue or charity will only need to pay for costs such as fuel. The buses running costs like insurance, upkeep, Tax, MOT, staff training etc will would be covered by donations
