Story

Internship and Focus on Life Skills students at Andover College are participating in a 5km swim or walk on the 28th January to raise money for the college Wellbeing emergency student fund.

This is used to support any student that is facing an emergency which may prevent them from continuing with their studies. The money is used to provide financial support for our most vulnerable students experiencing financial difficulty, such as parental job loss or risk of homelessness.

The support fund is designed as a short-term intervention while further longer-term support is sourced. Previously students have used funds for educational resources such as books, equipment, as well as food and travel into college. It has enabled many students experiencing a challenging time to continue with their studies at college and prosper in the future.
