Hi everyone, we need your help please!

Over the last few evenings some fantastic members of our community have got the Andover Home Learning group up and running.

During the last lockdown there was a massive shortage of devices for students to work on and unfortunately we remain with the same shortage of devices but and more definite urgency to get our young people into an efficient and effective learning routine and environment. We know they will be away from their classrooms for a minimum of 6 weeks and all have already faced massive breaks in the learning over the last 12 months.

Some learners have to access all of their learning on phones, many parents having to work on the only device at home or multiple children all sharing one device and needing to work at the same time.

The government has agreed to support all students listed as vulnerable, have EHCPs or fall under the pupil premium categories. Unfortunately that still leaves a large proportion that do not fit that criteria that need support.

We’ve started a group that will clean and refurbish old and unwanted laptops, desktops and other suitable devices. These devices will then be given to the families that need them.

So....we need your help.

The group is up and running and the group has personally met the costs of initial supplies but to meet the needs of repairs planned, we need to raise some funds to meet the costs.
