Story

Andover Town Youth Football Club has recently been the victim of serious fraud totalling in excess of £30,000, which is currently under investigation by Hampshire Police. This money was intended to cover essential costs such as pitch hire, referees, coaching, and other core expenses. As a result, the club is now facing severe financial difficulty.

ATYFC is a not-for-profit grassroots club supporting over 130 local children, run entirely by volunteer coaches and committee members. Our priority has always been the children and providing stability, routine, and the opportunity to finish the season alongside their teammates and friends.

To see the current season through, we urgently need to raise £10,000. This funding will cover outstanding costs already paid out by our volunteer coaches for training and match fees. Any money raised beyond this will go towards end-of-season trophies, which we proudly present to our players every year to celebrate their commitment and hard work.

We know this is a particularly difficult time of year, and asking for help is not something we do lightly.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to ASC (Charlton Astro), Knights Enham School, and John Hanson School, who have generously allowed our children to return to football in January despite knowing we currently have no mechanism in place to settle outstanding or upcoming fees. Our local leagues have also offered support wherever possible. Their kindness truly reflects the spirit of grassroots football.

If you are able to donate no matter how small, or share this appeal within the local community, you will be helping to support our players, coaches, volunteers, and families during an incredibly challenging time.

From everyone at Andover Town Youth Football Club,

thank you for your kindness and support.
