Story
Following a period of upheaval in our personal lives, my son and I have moved to a new city and he has joined year 5 in his fourth primary school. He has shown great resilience in forming new friendships and engaging in school activities such as competing with classmates in a local county primary schools dance competition.
In October 2018, he will be going on a school exchange trip to Ningbo, China, with his teacher and classmates. The pupil's contribution towards the trip is £800. I have paid £400 for half of the trip's cost, but am struggling to pay the second half as I am not able to work at present due to ill health.
I would love my son to go on the trip and engage with another culture, go to lessons and compare them with school in the UK and really enjoy himself for a week as he would really benefit from it.
