Story

In 2005 I went on my 1st backpacking walk with my faithful Springer Spaniel Sally. We set off along the 177 mile Offas's Dyke Path where l became hooked on long distance paths. Over the next few years we did various other paths. In 2011 Sally and Tika my Alaskan Malamute started the Pembrokeshire Coast Path (180.5 miles) as we finished the Pembrokeshire path the new Wales Coast Path (896 miles) was opened. I thought it would be a great challenge to walk the whole of Wales and that is what the three of us did over the next few years. Sadly in 2013 I lost Sally aged 16 years. Merlin a Welsh Collie came and joined the family and continued the walk with Tika and myself.
It is now 2017 and 1000 miles later, I thought it would be nice to raise some funds in memory of Sally the spaniel who inspired me to do this walk. Sally was lucky to have had a loving family life with us, unlike the spaniels who are in need of a home at SPANIEL AID UK.Which is this years chosen charity at St David's Dog Club.
So please sponsor Merlin who will be walking the last stages of the 1073 mile walk with me around Wales this summer.Thank you.

THIS WALK IS DEDICATED TO SALLY AND TIKA IN MEMORY OF THE WONDERFUL WALKS WE DID TOGETHER.
