I am an autistic person with Asperger's syndrome who has a heartfelt calling to be a nurse. The student finance team recently awarded me a small sum for living costs (maintenance loan), but this apparently does not cover the room rental charge for student accommodation at my chosen university because i am lucky that the university will be giving me a bursary to cover the tuition fees. This means i cannot be" means tested", and thus have to put up with a reduced loan which will not enable me to attend university. I am heartbroken and believe that there must be others out there in a similar position. Is there anyone that would like to contribute a donation to enable me and many other students in this position to become a valued member of the NHS? Any help would be very much appreciated!
