I am doing this because I can run. I feel compelled to raise some money for the amazing place that is Haywood House. Last week two people who I knew, died there, of the same disease. At ridiculously young ages. While we go about our daily lives, the staff at Haywood House make the lives of the terminally ill and their families just a bit less awful.

This really really touched me. While I can't do anything to help these poor bereaved families, i can try to do my bit so that others can continue to get the support they need at the worst of times.
