Hi I'm a 54 year old female Carper trying to raise enougn money to buy a Defibrillator for my local fishing venue's. Newbridge and Rainbow Lakes are set out of the way at Burstwick down a long lane that an Ambulance couldn't get to in a hurry because of the condition of some parts of the road. Anglers from all over the country visit Newbridge as it also has two smaller ponds aswell as the lake and is very well known and liked, Also Rainbow is another well know lake throughout the Angling community which is right nextdoor. So as I was saying while sat there one day I thought to myself if ever someone had heart attack they wouldn't stand much chance of survival if they had to wait for an Ambulance, and that a Defib on hand would give them a fighting chance and maybe save a fellow Anglers life. A portable box that could be kept near the house would be spot on which would mean it could be transported straight to bankside of either Lakes when needed within minutes while waiting for the emergency services to arrive, as we all know every minute counts. I think all lakes/fishing Ponds should have their own Defib in this day and age where large numbers of the public accumillate to fish and hope you all think so too !!
