Story
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Andrea Buggy, who tragically lost her battle with mental health on Wednesday 16th September 2020.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her; husband David, son Solomon, step-son Ben, her Mam, Dad and two sisters, and her wider family, friends and colleagues.
Andrea will be fondly remembered as a generous, loving and loyal individual who was full of warmth and personality, with her quick wit and fun-loving attitude.
It was these fabulous qualities that made her so popular and drove her dedication for being a police officer. She was very proud of being a detective, having the ability to help others, and even during some of her most difficult times she still spoke of her desire to help those with similar struggles.
She touched so many lives, including, as she would have put it, ‘the footy lasses, work lasses and school lasses’, to name but a few.
We feel that together we can commemorate her memory for the happy times she brought to our lives...
Andrea fought so hard for so long to get well, with her wish being to one day return to Canada with David, Sol and Ben to see the whales which had eluded her on honeymoon.
We would like to raise enough money so her family can fulfil this wish and take the holiday of a lifetime in her memory.
