Story
So its that time of year again when I get my running shoes out and start pounding the pavement in the pursuit of raising a few coins towards a good cause.
This year I have up’d the anti! Not only will I sub due myself to doing the Manchester and Burnley 10k I will also through in there the Yorkshire 3 Peaks as well as climbing Mount Snowden!
I know, I know, this is and easy feat for a super fit and healthy young man like myself BUT wait I do not do this alone!
This year I have recruited a side kick! This year every step, mile, blister, sweat I give to the cause will be doubled with my couragous 15 year old daughter.
Me and Sophie are hoping to rasie around £500 to a local charity Crossroads Health Care.
You may or may not beaware of my own dads situation, he is extremely poorly with Alzhimers and as I write this he is currently in hospital being looked after as his condition has rapidly declined.
So why Crossroads, well they are a great local charity who provid great support to fulltime carers like my mum who have to live with and care for someone 24/7 without any restbite.
Crossroads provided great support for my mum and dad, not only raising money for them I want to also raise the support for the local charity who can help many others to help cope with such a terrible disease.
So please don’t sponsor me, sponsor my daughter, she is the one being truely challenged help raise money for such a worthy cause.
Thanks for reading.

4 years agoSo if Mount Snowdon wasn’t enough! Myself and Sophie decide to do the Yorkshire Three Peaks! We was battered left, right and centre with all kinds of elements, one minute glorious and un forgiving sunshine, the next we had down poor and strong winds BUT we marched on and did it just over 10 hours of hard, hard work! So proud of Sophie with all four events, she has given everything!

Andrew Ashworth
Over the last 4 years I have been taking to the streets, pounding the pavements in the pursuit of raising money for great charities. I have grown up with having a heart condition and five years ago I was treated for an aneurism within the brain. Now I raise money for others 😀
