Story
The Eden Gardens has embarked on a community transformation project that is physically transforming he village of Latchford in Warrington into a wildflower paradise.
It began with a local dad who is an ex servicemen and his son who had had enough of the scruffy ' litter filled, dog fouled' estate that was pretty gloomy.
We decided to adopt several of the pieces of land within the area and litter pick, tidy up, plough and then invite the whole community to scatter wild flower seeds.
The results have been miraculous!!! Over 120 bin bags of rubbish were removed from the local park and woods as we partnered with other groups to rid our park of rubbish.
We have assisted local schools and community groups by offering free wild flower seed and bulb planting projects, All together 19 pieces of land have been changed from boring grass or wasteland into the most beautiful wildflower gardens.
The 30 varieties of wild flowers planted on each garden has attracted and supported 1000's of Bees, Butterflies and other insects, you could actually stand and listen to the buzzing of the bees...
This entire project has been lead and funded for over 3 years by one man, his personal funding has now run out.
If you are interested in donating to support this project so it can continue and expand and create more wild flower projects in the area....please do...
