Story
Andrew is attempting something which, even those who drove, would feel the need to stock up on resources prior and plan rest stops ahead.
However wheels are for the weak in this scenario, as Andrew is attempting to run the length of Gran Canaria, 128km (or 3 marathons back to back). And, to add to insult, the peaks and troughs he will climb and descend on this island equate to the same height that Sir Edmund Hillary endured during his Everest feat in 1953.
I bet now he is wishing it was called Petit Canaria ....
Oh did I mention he has a time limit of 30 hours to complete this ... some call him brave, or just bat crazy ...?!

5 years agoThank you so much! Amazing! So generous of you all! And a big thank you to Jeremy for setting up the page on my behalf. Totally unexpected! :-) Because of the increase in homelessness over the last few years, I have decided to donate the raised funds to a local homeless charity. I managed to complete just over half of the run. 74.8km. It was much harder than I anticipated! But I had a fantastic time and loved every moment of it! Many thanks! Andrew
