Story

As some of you know, we tragically lost our wonderful dog Cosmo last October. He was only 20 months old, and suffered from epilepsy that was caused by an incurable degenerative brain disease. In honour of his memory, my brother and I will be taking on the Wales 3000s Challenge on Sat 30 June. We're doing this to raise money to fund further research into canine epilepsy by the Neurology Department at Langford Vets, Bristol. They are hoping to develop a unique urine test that may lead to an earlier diagnosis of canine epilepsy and subsequent treatment of the illness before it takes hold.

The Wales 3000s is a bit like the 3 Peaks Challenge, but on steroids! It involves summiting all 15 mountain peaks in Wales (a mountain = height of a min 3000 feet above sea level) in 24 hours, over a distance in excess of 30 miles. It's going to hurt! All the mountains in Wales are located in Snowdonia, and one of them - the infamous Crib Goch - is particularly terrifying...

If you would be willing to donate a few quid towards this cause (or if you just enjoy the thought of me suffering for 24hrs) I would be incredibly grateful. Caring for a dog with epilepsy is an incredibly tough full-time job, and hopefully your donations will make a real difference to the future diagnosis and treatment of this awful, life-shortening illness.

Thanks for reading!
